and now it has surpassed desktop usage.
The graph below shows
that about 71% of people spent time on social networking, which is meaning
people spent more time on using mobile apps to go on Facebook (or other social

As we can see
everywhere, everyone has their phones or tablets on hand wherever they go. This
shows that mobile devices are so much important to us as compared to older
days.
From what I think, the
arising of mobile apps brought a lot of convenience to people. Obviously, everyone can
just go on mobile apps by one-click on their mobile devices to post Facebook
status or tweet on Twitter, instead of starting the windows using laptops or
desktops, that is why people prefer using mobile apps to share their ideas on
social media, such as Instagram, Youtube and Facebook.
Mobile devices or
tablets could be easier to carry as compared to desktops. People carried their
mobile devices everywhere, but they cannot bring their desktop everywhere.
Besides, mobile apps
can be used everywhere, as long as you have cellular data plan. For example,
you can share your location with your friends on Facebook or Foursquare to
invite them to your place for gathering.
That is what I think
about the reasons of the arising in mobile apps usage these recent years.
